Reviews of St John

Staff (Averaging 2.9 from 238 reviews)
5th Aug 2009 - Adjunct to the popular restaurant of the same name; St. Johns bar is a small, spartan and bright space serving wines and local beers and food, ostensibly bar-snacks in the same style as the restaurant, as well as selling bread from their own backery. The beers are excellent (from the Meantime brewery in Greenwich) and the bar menu is classic English, though traditional pub grub it is not. Such contradictions sum the place up. Though there's a bar with beer taps and pumps, St. Johns is not a pub by any means, nor is it really a bar. It's not part of the restaurant though table service is encouraged. Clientelle are a slightly older crowd mostly suited. Worth trying.
