1st Aug 2007 - Could do better. I get the feeling they're sort of sitting back as you really don't need to try too hard round here to fill your pub up. Just keep it clean and serve some food, and they will come. Excellent river views and suff do all the work for them, just seems to miss something though.

12th Nov 2004 - An old world style pub located on the river at Wapping. Typical interior decor for the type but nothing that reaches out and grabs you. Once inside the pub is suprisingly large and doesn't feel too 'cosy'. Staff are friendly and beer was perfectly acceptible. In short, nothing exceptional but you could do much worse; though there are nicer pubs in the area. A good one to stop at during a riverside walk.

12th Nov 2004 - never liked this one - much more touristy than Mayflower on other side of river and probably suffering in the years since I last went there from the changing demographics of Wapping. Then again, the Mayflower was next door to me whereas this one involved a tube stop (underneath the engineering marvel that is the Thames Tunnel by Marc Brunel for those of you with limited knowledge of the pioneers of modern life as we know it) so I may be biased by laziness. Nice river setting of course, but bigger and less cosy, and used to be more expensive than Mayflower too.
