18th Sep 2010 - This pub has been my local for over 30yrs now. i have seen good and bab times here. Now its going through a time never before experienced. Lager is overpriced and sometimes undrinkable food is expensive and you have to compete with fruitflies buzzing around you. And they dont pay. Staff are ok some better than others. Why do they serve tea and coffee in pubs?This slows an already slow service down even more. Not a good advert for M&B

23rd Feb 2005 - This pub has recently been done up and now has eclectic furniture, including chandeliers, funky sofas and a chain mail curtain. It's on a main road, right by East Finchley station but the pub is quiet. It's not so busy as it is at the less residential bit of the High Street. They have background music on; while I was there, a mixture of blues and pop. A whole half of the pub is non smoking, and well separated from the other half.
