18th Oct 2005 - Probably my favourite pub in Richmond. It's far enough out of the centre to keep the noisy elements away but well worth the walk. The views from Richmond Hill are probably the best in the London area, but if you get bored of them the pub is not bad either. Beer selection is fair and is quality is generally good. Bar staff are generally helpful and friendly, although there can be a few student part-timers who can't pull a pint. Food is good and not overpriced, but if you order anything other than the amazing pie you've made the wrong choice. There aren't many better ways to spend a Saturday in Richmond than eating one of their huge pies then slowly drinking the rest of the afternoon away playing bar billiards. A very good pub.

17th Aug 2005 - This pub is at the top of the hill out of Richmod town center towards the park so the views are fantastic over the Thames. The seem to have a good selection of ales from the pumps and there's a barbilliards table too.
