4th Aug 2008 - After a recent re-visit here I must update my review. Previously I scored this as a 3 as the refit (we're talking several years ago now) was a totaly travesty. Things have now improved and the pub is now more old fashioned in it's decor, much more suited to the building. They have retained the buffet, which to be honest, didn't inspire, but the a la carte option is very good indeed and comes highly recommended. The room out the back has been re-opened (was it never closed?) and is ok, but if you can sit in the glorious surroundings of the grade II original bar, you must.
