Its OK, mainly on account of the interesting decor and being a Sam Smith's pub and therefore reasonably priced. Basically not a bad place to call into during the week if in the area. Probably not worth a detour.

Nice old style pub (as the name suggests!). Sam Smith beers on tap, and lots of nice cosy alcoves along the side for intimacy. No pool/ dartboard/ jukebox that I noticed, and the only food I had in there was a packet of peanut! Very convenient for Chancery Lane tube, this is certainly a better bet than the Melton Mowbray just over the road.

Big old pub owned by Sam Smiths that isn't that different to Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese, except this place gets less tourists. There is a dartboard in the back bar on the very back wall but I've never seen it used and I doubt the staff even know they have one. The front bar is a good little place to hide away too.

Good beer, very cheap prices, lovely building and good service. Gets very busy early evenings but still one of the best bets in the area.
