13th May 2013 - Its a standard Taylor Walker chain pub with the traditional dark wood furniture and bar a tiny bit of tiled floor and some hideous red carpet spreading into the dining room from which at least 2 tables complained about the food during my 1 hour stay. The walls had a few army/war pics and I cleverly figured out the pub was named after a regiment. The regiment was obviously called The Gloucestershire regiment and judging by the pics they have been pretty busy and if war is a reason for naming a pub then they probably deserve a mention. Sadly I do not think this pub does much to honour them. Cheap tacky bunting promoting the beer a cider festival adorned the bar but sadly they had forgotten to get any cider for the festival. The service was jolly and they did deal with the complaints calmly and politely but I guess they have had plenty of practice.

18th Oct 2005 - Nothing great here, pretty standard boozer but does seem slightly out of step with the surrounding boutiques..! Nevertheless, if you need a break from expensive shopping i'm sure it'll do the trick.
